REVIEW | SLEEK ARABIAN NIGHTS EYESHADOW PALETTE

It was love at first sight. The deep colours, sparkle and glitter.. this palette was screaming my name. Best thing: it's only about $10! Want to know if it is as good as it looks? Then keep on reading..

Yes, Sleek did it again! They killed it with the packaging/sleeve, and I can't get over how beautiful the colors look. Just like every sleek pallete, the pallete is quite sleek (how fitting), it has a good large mirror, and 12 shadows. The shadows are a bit smaller than regular sized pans (think mac, Makeup Geek etc). I have one other Sleek palette, enchanted forest, which I also really love.

Quick side note: on the back of the sleeve they give you a suggestion of a makeup look and tell you which colors to use in order to create "mysterious eyes".

My favorites? Hocus pocus, Simbad's seas, black magic and valley of diamonds! But also the other colors are very pretty , especially the first 3 on the top row, which would be perfect lid colors.

Sleek keeps impressing me over and over again. Even though they are quite cheap, most shadows are really pigmented and feel quite smooth. The only thing I miss a little is some good mattes. There is only 1, Stallion, but it is dry, not pigmented and really hard to build up. Luckily I personally have quite a lot of neutral mattes in other palettes, but for some people who do not (want to) own a lot of makeup it is not ideal.

The blendability of the shadows is quite good. I find most of them really easy to work with, with exception of Stallion. They do have a little fall out, so I would recommend using something like shadow shields, or applying the eye makeup before the face makeup. The shadows are beautiful on their own, but to really make them pop a lot I suggest using a very dark base underneat. This will make them stand out even more.

I really enjoy using this pallete. The quality is very good, especially for only the price you pay. You go for natural looks with the more wearable neutral colours, but you can also go heavy on the eyes with the blues, purple and greens in this pallete. If you also love these kind colors then I definitely recommend picking this one up soon, because it unfortunately is limited edition.

What is your favorite sleek pallete?

Love,
Françoise
