A few months ago Too Faced came out with its "born this way" foundation and I heard a lot of good things about this foundation. So after a few months I decided to place an order at sephora, which you can see here. This foundation promisses to give a medium to full coverage while still looking natural on the skin. Want to know if this foundation sticks to its promise? Make sure to keep on reading..

First I'll start with the packaging of this foundation. The bottle looks amazing! I love the luxurious feel of the matte glass with the golden letters on it. It looks really pretty on your vanity. Due to the fact that it is made of thick glass it is a bit heavier compared to other foundation bottles, so it may not be ideal for travelling, but most foundation bottles are not really lightweight.

The foundation comes with a pump as I expected. I paid quite a lot for this foundation and in my opinion high-end foundations should have pumps. This is not always the case, but I'm happy this foundation does have a pump. It is much more hygienic, cleaner and it is easier to dose.

The following statement is made by Too Faced about their 'born this way' foundation:

"This oil-free foundation masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin. Coverage is so undetectable and skin so naturally radiant, they'll think you were born this way.
100% said this foundation blurred their imperfections
98% said this foundation made their skin look absolutely perfect
97% said this foundation provided natural coverage."

Sounds great right? Let's see if this foundation performs as it promisses!
The foundation is quite thick and indeed gives a lot of coverage. It covers all my redness really easily and i didn't need a lot of product. The coverage is really nice, but to be completely honest I would not say that it looks like skin, but on the other hand it also does not look really heavy nor cakey. I would probably say that it is fairly natural.

I find that the foundation lasts really well throughout the day. It stays quite matte, but ifeels a bit heavy on my skin. Could be because my skin is quite dry and the finish is matte, which makes it feel a bit uncomfortable. However, I do really like this foundation, so it doesn't stop me from wearing it. On days that my skin is terribly dry I would probably opt for another foundation.

My conclusion: I really like this foundation! The finish looks fairly and the coverage is amazing! I highly recommend this to lots of people! It works out well on dry to normal skin types (not so much on really dry skins), but I believe that it also should work out on people with oily skin.

Did you ever try this foundation?
